What is VO2 max?
VO2 max is the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during intense exercise. It’s one of the clearest measures of cardiovascular fitness.
During the test you wear a mask connected to a metabolic analyzer while exercise intensity gradually increases. The analyzer measures the oxygen you breathe in and the carbon dioxide you breathe out, breath by breath, alongside your heart rate.
